Burra Monster Mine
Once one of the largest copper mines in the world, the Burra Monster mine, and the towns it created, are the birthplace of the guiding document for heritage practioners in Australia - the Australia ICOMOS Burra Charter.

For the past few years I have been working on documenting Australia's towns to create a visual resource for the future. I often rely on the work of John T Collins or the Rose and Valentine post card series for images of our past. I look to update the photographic recording of Australian places and events and upload a selection to the National Library of Australia's Pictureaustralia project.
